Prof. Ximena Ramos, together with Prof. Pablo Benítez (UAI), Prof. Sebastián Pérez (USACH), and Dr. Philipp Weber (USACH), organized the 1st FARGO3D Workshop: Hands-on applications (https://fargo3dworkshop.github.io/). In addition to its organization, Dr. Ramos was fully involved in its development and in the presentation of an invited scientific talk entitled "Simulating multi-planet systems self-consistently" during the first day of the event. The talk focused on the challenges and possible solutions for performing hydrodynamic simulations of planetary systems with multiple planets in a self-consistent way, including their migration.

This workshop was held from January 16 to 19, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the UAI campus in Las Condes. One of the main objectives was to strengthen the community around the FARGO3D code, inviting to participate students and researchers interested in hydrodynamic simulations in the context of protoplanetary disks and sharing experiences while learning from each other and the main developers of this tool. The event had 56 participants, of which 21 are affiliated with foreign universities, 6 keynote speakers participated, 4 invited scientific talks were given and 12 participants presented their research projects. During the workshop, attendees learned about theoretical and numerical hydrodynamics, protoplanetary disks, planetary migration, radiative transfer, and interferometry. In the afternoons, there were practical exercise sessions, guided by experts in each of the topics covered.

The international workshop was a success thanks to the contributions of the main developers of the code, the keynote, and invited speakers, as well as each of the participants, without whom this event would not have been possible.
